CM Pinarayi Vijayan Congratulates Champions of Kerala School Kalolsavam, Hails Youth Talent

Thrissur: The 64th Kerala State School Arts Festival drew to a majestic close in Thrissur, showcasing the cultural vibrancy of Kerala’s youth and reinforcing the city’s identity as the state’s cultural capital. Tens of thousands of students from across the state participated in the multi‑day event, held across 25 venues and featuring over 239 art categories.
Sharing his reflections on Facebook, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan congratulated every participant, describing the festival as a “grand celebration of talent and youthful spirit” that lived up to Thrissur’s cultural legacy.
“I congratulate all the students who took part in the festival. May you continue to excel in the world of talent, bringing further glory to Kerala,” the Chief Minister wrote, offering his best wishes for their continued progress. He highlighted how such cultural gatherings not only showcase artistic ability but also strengthen Kerala’s composite cultural identity.
In his post, CM expressed special commendations for Kannur district, which earned the highest points and won the trophy at this year’s festival. Host district Thrissur and Kozhikode were also lauded for their spirited performances and strong showings.
The Chief Minister’s message also extended heartfelt thanks to everyone whose dedication and hard work helped make the festival a resounding success.
The event culminated with a closing ceremony attended by dignitaries and cultural leaders, celebrating the creativity, discipline and unity fostered through art among Kerala’s school students.
