Kollam: KPCC president Sunny Joseph has not ruled out the possibility of political cooperation between the UDF and the Welfare Party. While he clarified that there would be no formal alliance in the upcoming local body elections, he refrained from ruling out any form of cooperation.
Responding to questions at the ‘Meet the Press’ event at the Kollam Press Club, Sunny Joseph said the UDF was open to accepting votes from all quarters and noted that the Opposition Leader had already provided detailed clarification on the matter.
He did not respond to queries regarding Samastha leaders urging the UDF to distance itself from Jamaat -e- Islami, described as religious fundamentalists, nor on how the UDF could present a charge sheet against 30 years of LDF rule in Kollam Corporation when the RSP had been part of the ruling front for 19 of those years.
