Kozhikode: Video footage has surfaced showing Muslim League workers at the Changaroth Panchayath office spraying cow-dung water following the election in which Dalit Panchayath president Unni Vengeri was unseated.

The act, carried out in a government office that is constitutionally secular, is being widely condemned as a caste- based humiliation. Local activists describe it as a manifestation of a feudal mindset and discriminatory attitudes against Dalits.
