23 Indian Crew Members Rescued After Ukraine Drone Attack on Oil Tanker Off Russian Coast

Moscow: All 23 Indian crew members aboard an oil tanker that came under a Ukrainian drone attack off Russia's southern coast have been rescued. The Russian Transport Ministry said the entire crew on the vessel were Indians and that all of them were safe.
Emergency rescue operations, including efforts by the fire and rescue services, were carried out to evacuate the crew from the vessel. The Transport Ministry said the fire could not be brought under control due to its high intensity.
The attack took place off the coast of Sochi in the Black Sea. The Liberian-flagged oil tanker was attacked using naval drones. Visuals showing flames rising from the vessel were subsequently circulated on social media.
Access to the coastal area has also been restricted. Sochi, which has a population of around five lakh, is one of Russia's major tourist destinations.
