US Should Acquire Greenland “By Any Means Necessary”, Trump's Comments Sparks International Outcry

Washington DC: US President Donald Trump has once again sparked international debate with statements suggesting that Greenland, the world’s largest island, should become part of the United States. Speaking at the White House, Trump indicated that the goal would be pursued “by any means necessary,” a remark that has drawn widespread attention.
Earlier, Trump had expressed interest in purchasing Greenland from Denmark, an idea that was dismissed outright by the Danish government, straining diplomatic relations between the two countries. Trump’s latest comments come amid that backdrop, emphasizing Greenland’s strategic importance to the United States.
Denmark has reiterated that Greenland is not for sale and any attempts to infringe on its sovereignty would not be accepted. Analysts note that the US’s interest in Greenland is largely driven by the need to counter increasing Chinese and Russian influence in the Arctic region.
Trump’s remarks have provoked strong reactions across European capitals, adding to international tensions already heightened by his administration’s interventions in Venezuela and other global hotspots.
