Dubai: UAE air traffic has returned to normal after a temporary closure amid rising tensions in the Middle East. UAE authorities temporarily closed the country’s airspace this morning as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of aircraft and crew, given local security concerns.

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority explained that the decision was made after assessing safety and risks, taking into account the challenges and threats in the aviation sector in the Gulf. The authority stated that it is closely monitoring the situation.

Airport authorities confirmed that flight services were temporarily suspended following a drone attack near Dubai Airport on March 16.

The Ministry has now announced that UAE airspace is fully operational, allowing airlines to resume flight services across the country’s major airports.
