Israel Airstrike in Lebanon; Death Toll Rises

Beirut: Israeli aggression continues in Lebanon after attacking Iran. Lebanese health officials reported that 16 people were killed and 35 injured last night, marking the sixth day of the attack. Unconfirmed reports suggest that around 150 people have died so far. Officials said the injuries were caused by an Israeli airstrike in the Nabi Chit mountains. Hezbollah stated that it clashed with Israeli forces late Friday in the mountains of eastern Lebanon.

Israel's attack on Lebanon follows a joint US-led assault on Iran. The attacks began in Lebanon and various parts of Beirut, with Israel claiming that Hezbollah had attacked them in support of Iran. The Israeli army instructed the evacuation of around fifty villages in the capital of Lebanon. Following airstrikes, land-based attacks have also begun in Lebanon by Israel.

The UN Refugee Agency clarified that around 100,000 people have fled the country, and tens of thousands of Syrian refugees have crossed the border and returned.
