Iran Places Seven Conditions Before US to Restore Peace in West Asia; Warns of a "Decisive War" if US Rejects Demands

Tehran: Iran has placed seven conditions before the United States for restoring peace in West Asia. Tehran conveyed the conditions to Washington through Qatar. Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, also issued a strong warning that Iran is prepared for a final war if the US refuses to accept its demands. Rezaei said Iran was awaiting a response from US President Donald Trump. Iran maintains that they would not bow to America’s imperialist war drive. The main conditions put forward by Iran include the immediate cessation of the war jointly launched by the US and Israel in West Asia, the release of Iranian assets frozen by the US, and the lifting of the naval blockade imposed on Iran. Rezaei said accepting the conditions would be in the US’s interest. Otherwise, he warned, the American military would face severe retaliation. He claimed that Iran had already begun counterattacks targeting US military bases in the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. He also said Iran had tested a new multi-warhead anti-ship missile near American naval vessels. Rezaei said the possibility of another attack from the US could not be ruled out. However, he maintained that Iran’s military was fully prepared to face such a situation. He warned that if the US crossed the limits further, Iran was also considering withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. At the same time, he said there was no change in Iran’s nuclear policy and that the fatwa prohibiting the production of nuclear weapons would remain in force. Meanwhile, the US has granted visas to the Iranian delegation to attend the United Nations General Assembly, scheduled to be held from September 18 to 28. West Asia was plunged into severe war fears after the US and Israel jointly launched attacks on Iran in February. Iran’s declaration that it would go to any extent to protect its sovereignty and restore peace is a strong warning to the imperialist alliance.
