Iran Claims of Shooting Down US Warplane; US Denies

Tehran: Iran claimed to have shot down a US F-18 fighter jet using its advanced air defense system. A video of the attack was widely shared on social media. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the plane crashed near Chabahar, a key coastal port in the Gulf of Oman.
Meanwhile, United States Central Command (CENTCOM) denied the claim, stating that no US warplane had been attacked by Iran. The US argued that the information being spread was fake news, intended to mislead others. The claim and counter-allegation come amid increasing tensions in West Asia.
These claims come after the United States, which has been surrending to Iran in the conflict, rejected 15 conditions set by Iran. Iran, which had rejected Trump's demands, had put forward five conditions for the United States.
