Physiotherapy Units Established in 46 Government AYUSH Hospitals Across Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: 46 new physiotherapy units have been established in government AYUSH hospitals across Kerala. The state-level inauguration of the initiative will be held on October 22 at 3 p.m. at the District Homoeopathy Hospital, Kizhakkekotta, Thiruvananthapuram and will be inaugurated by Health Minister Veena George. MLA Antony Raju will preside over the function.
The physiotherapy units have been set up at a total cost of Rs. 2 crore. Of the 46 units, 25 are located in hospitals under the Department of Indian Systems of Medicine and 21 in hospitals under the Department of Homoeopathy.
Each unit is equipped with modern physiotherapy equipment and staffed with a physiotherapist and a multipurpose worker, ensuring the availability of professional care and services to patients. With this, all government homoeopathy hospitals in the state now have functional physiotherapy unit.
