Priyadarshan's 100th Film: Mohanlal to Play the Lead Once Again

Thiruvananthapuram: The legendary duo of Priyadarshan and Mohanlal, one of the best collaborations in Malayalam cinema history, is reuniting once again. The official announcement of Priyadarshan's 100th film was made, with Mohanlal, who played the lead role in Priyadarshan's first film Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, returning as the lead in this milestone project as well.
Priyadarshan stated that this is such a collaboration that it is unprecedented in world cinema history and that this record will never be rewritten or broken. Priyadarshan's first film as a screenwriter, Sindoora Sandhya, also featured Mohanlal in the lead role.
The film will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Binu George Alexander under the banner of Ashirwad Cinemas. This marks the 39th film produced by Ashirwad Cinemas. Priyadarshan mentioned that the film will be a feel-good entertainer with an emphasis on music and emotional depth, and that there will also be action sequences.
Mohanlal expressed his happiness about being part of this moment, stating that he is delighted to collaborate with Priyadarshan once again. This iconic duo, which has given Malayalam cinema hits like Kilukkam, Thalavattam, Thenmavin Kombath, and Kalaapani, is now coming together once again, generating great expectations in the film world. Antony Perumbavoor confirmed that the filming will begin in 2026.
